How do I use wax melts?

Those cute little wax melts that you may have received as a gift-with-purchase are a fun way to bring smell to a room. To start, you will need a wax melter. A few of our favorites are: these beautiful this Moxie & Grace one, this cute cast iron pot, or even this electric one from Target. You simply light a tealight or plug in and turn on the electric version, place the wax melts in the upper portion and let them melt and infuse your room with their smell! Please be sure to follow the same warnings as on your regular candles and burn them in a safe place without sight.

How quickly do you restock items?

Theoretically we can produce items in a day to restock. However, we try to only ship candles out once they have fully cured to ensure you are able to light them right away and get the best scent possible. Typically we like candles to cure for 10-14 days, and because we produce in small batches, restocking can take anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks. If something is sold out, please be sure to add your email to our waitlist as it won’t be long before there are more available. And if you have a pressing need, please email us at hello@ldotcandleco.com with subject “Urgent need” and let us know what you’re hoping to order - we can try to produce it and ship it quickly to ensure you get what you need. We will just add the caveat that if lit sooner than the full curing period, the smell may not be as pronounced.

How long does my order take to ship?

Shipping typically occurs 2-5 business days after you’ve placed your order. We are a small business operating out of a small location so please be patient with us. Once the item is shipped, you will receive tracking information. We typically ship via USPS Ground Advantage so delivery times are dependent on their shipping time. You can also select Expedited shipping at checkout if you need your candles quicker!

Do you offer international shipping? 

At this time we unfortunately do not, but we hope to in the near future!

What is your return policy? 

We strive to ensure every order is correct, however, if you received an incorrect item, broken item, or if something seems to be wrong with it please reach out to us at hello@ldotcandeco.com with subject “Order Issue” and include your order # and details of the issue including relevant photos. We will work with you to ensure your product is fixed. Please note that if you receive an item and do not like it, we are unfortunately unable to process returns of that sort at this time - we are a very small business and doing our best to provide great products. If you do not like your item, we would be happy to exchange it for something different, however you will need to cover the new shipping to return and for the new item.

How do you get to the price of your candles?

We strive to make our candles affordable while also respecting the quality of materials and time it takes to make each one. We use more expensive ingredients to ensure that our candles are safe as well as have the most authentic scents and quality fragrances. We also hand craft the scents which takes a lot of time, trial, and error to get it just right. Additionally, the majority of our packaging and labeling is made with more sustainable or post-consumer material to ensure we are being as eco-conscious as possible which is a core value of ours. However, that means those materials are more expensive which drives up the overall cost to produce each item. We believe that paying a little bit more for high quality and eco-conscious products pays dividends in the end.
